Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations and Enrollment Management, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Management will direct the planning, programming, and communications in the areas of enrollment management, various initiatives in the Isenberg School that contribute to the matriculation, retention and professional development of undergraduate students, and communication to prospective, admitted, and current students, including non-majors.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as the point of contact for prospective and admitted first-year and transfer students, and their families, who have inquiries about Isenberg.

  • Serves as the liaison to Central Enrollment Management.

  • Liaises with the seven Isenberg Departments to plan, construct, and manage communications to both prospective and admitted students (e.g., email journeys, content for calls to admitted students, Coffee Chats, Isenberg tours, etc.).

  • Manages the Isenberg Ambassador Program including advertising, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision.

  • Plans and successfully executes University Fall Visit Day and Destination Day events which involves collaboration with campus and Isenberg departments.

  • Liaises with Isenberg MARCOM for communications, publications, and online content regarding enrollment management and current student needs.

  • Liaises with Athletics to support their prospect program, arrange Isenberg tours, meetings with faculty, etc.

  • Works with the Managing Advisor who oversees Isenberg residential academic programs (RAP) to ensure respective application and/or invitation is consistent with RAP goals.

  • Works with Isenberg Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) to offer programming and communication to admitted historically minoritized students leading up to decision day.

  • Tracks enrollment management trends with applicants and admitted students.

Other Functions

  • Executes special projects as needed to support the Director of Operations and Enrollment Management and the mission of the Undergraduate Programs Office, departments, and the College.

  • Performs related duties as assigned or required to meet department, college, and university goals and objectives.

  • Understands responsibilities with respect to Title IX, FERPA, and other compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrates capacity, skill, and willingness to engage students and work with faculty and staff to contribute to student matriculation, retention and success.

  • Works collaboratively with other campus stakeholders to fulfill the mission of Student Affairs, Campus Life, and Student Success.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related work experience.

  • Experience in serving a large, culturally-diverse population.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and service orientation.

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to prioritize work assignments in a demanding environment.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to relate to such constituent groups as students, faculty, staff, parents/guardians, and others.

  • Proficiency in computer skills and basic office software applications.

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively with various university personnel.

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • Experience working in an academic environment.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment.

  • Requires ability to occasionally lift and transport boxes of event materials and publications which may be in excess of 30 lbs. along with lift/move/setup event tables.

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.

  • Required to work occasional nights and weekends.

  • Occasional travel may be involved.
