Colleges of the Fenway Assistant Director, Alumnae/i Engagement - Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts
Participating as a key member of the Alumni Engagement team, the Assistant Director is responsible for administering Alumnae/i Professional Development programs and Alumnae/i Education programs, both online and in-person. The Assistant Director is also responsible for cultivating and managing partnerships, and supporting divisional priorities through fundraising. The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Alumnae/i Engagement.
Program Administration: Develop and implement Alumnae/i Professional Development programs, including industry networking events, expert panels, and workshops (both online and in-person) in partnership with Advancement and institutional colleagues. Develop Alumnae/i Education programs in-line with institutional priorities, highlighting faculty and alumnae/i expertise, both online and in-person. Use data, industry best practices and expressed interests by the Simmons Alumnae/i Network to identify locations, topics, audiences, and speakers. Strategically integrate solicitations and giving opportunities into alumnae/i programs (i.e. marketing, registration, at-event, post-event communication). Support promotion of Alumnae/i Professional Development and Alumnae/i Education programs through Simmons Alumnae/i by developing content for social media channels, emails, print pieces, and other communication methods. Support regular assessment of alumnae/i programs.
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal/external partners. Serve as an ambassador for the College and division. Contribute to the volunteer pipeline by identifying, recruiting, and retaining alumnae/i volunteers for affinity-, industry-, and class-based volunteer opportunities. Support other Institutional and Divisional priorities as requested.
Requirements: Advanced knowledge of Word Processing, office applications such as email and voice mail, scheduling/organizing, and presentations. Intermediate use of Raiser's Edge database Basic knowledge of using spreadsheets, business applications, graphics, desktop publishing and web development.
