Boston University ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, WHEELOCK FAMILY THEATRE, College of Fine Arts in BOSTON, Massachusetts

The College of Fine Arts seeks an Assistant Director of Education and Community Engagement for the Wheelock Family Theatre. This position reports to the Director of Education and Community Engagement and is responsible for organization-wide education and community engagement initiatives. Established in 1981, Wheelock Family Theatre at Boston University has provided affordable and award-winning, professional theatre and theatre arts education to families in the greater Boston area through an unwavering commitment to inclusion, diversity, and access. The Assistant Director collaborates with the Director of Education and Community Engagement to execute the day-to-day responsibilities of the Education program and develop partnerships with outside organizations that extend WFT's reach and build upon its mission. They manage all learning initiatives associated with artistic productions and oversee professional learning experiences at WFT. In all aspects, this position helps to maintain the highest possible standards in all areas for the company.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience in theatre programs.
