Institute for Healthcare Improvement Director Education Operations in Boston, Massachusetts

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Education Strategy, the Director of Open School Operations will partner with key staff across the organization to serve as a leader and accountability driver. This position will oversee the daily operations and strategic initiatives of projects within the Open School, ensuring alignment with customer needs and revenue targets while collaborating closely with senior leadership to enhance and scale the platform in the global education market. Position Responsibilities:? Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Education Operations for Open School Lead and oversee Open School strategic projects with the support of a project team, which includes customer management, budget, working with IT to ensure troubleshooting for our customers and improvement and support in execution of Open School scale initiatives. Create and manage Open School budget and forecast enrollment goals for courses. Analyze course metrics, identifying high and low performing courses, to create and contribute recommendations to future planning. Co-Lead annual fiscal year planning process with Senior Director of Education Strategy Develop, maintain, and prioritize improvement on cross-educational processes (e.g., scholarships, enrollment, discounts, standard work) Identify, establish, and report out on metrics and KPIs that promote, reinforce, and sustain operational excellence over time and prepare organization for current and future business models Establish clear goals that can be tracked and summarized over time; Ensure programs are delivering on impact, reach, team vitality, and financial vitality Partner with: o Finance to create business case for potential new Open School partnerships o New Business team to manage contracts and critical partnerships o IT to ensure timely improvements and updates are completed o Operation functions across departments to contribute and maintain consistency and communication channels surrounding organization strategy and objectives o Marketing to enhance marketability of Open School o Other relevant departments and functions Organize and lead: o Weekly team meetings with IT, LMS Admin, Project Management, and Course ID (as needed) o Quarterly strategy and pipeline review processes for Open School o Quarterly program reprojection process and escalate financial implications to o Monthly Sales meeting calls Manage monthly updates of visual management board Partnership Development for Open School Strengthen partnerships with organizations looking to integrate the Open School platform into their education strategy. Explore needs, create business case, and oversee operations for partner collaborations. Contribute to strategic planning for scaling the Open School business. Discuss potential markets, analyze market viability, and estimate time and expense for potential collaborations. Work with Sr. Director, Education Strategy, the Design and Development team, and Market Insights to anticipate new IHI courses to put in market. Leadership Serve as a change agent who is comfortable with ambiguity and challenging the status quo Bring expertise or identify SME in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, tool ownership and compliance with procedures, etc. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cross-functional teams through the disciplined use of measurements, accountability, analysis, and discussion of process alternatives to arrive at best practices Work collaboratively with staff to overcome organizational inertia, individual resistance to change, or change saturation Closely collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams to execute on strategic initiatives globally and at scale
