Responsibilities:

Faculty report directly to the Occupational Therapy Program Director, and this position is assigned to the School of Occupational Therapy on a full-time basis.

Develop, teach and maintain departmental curriculum in areas of expertise as determined by Program Director. Instruct courses as determined by employment contract during 12-month period. Assist with program applicant review. Participate in the self-study and review process for ACOTE. Participate in scheduled faculty and other departmental meetings and committees. Participate in university committees as appropriate. Maintain state licensure and other required certifications. Maintain professional development plan on a yearly basis related to teaching excellence, scholarship, research, professional service and community engagement. Advise students. Maintain departmental outcomes and reports required by ACOTE, NEASC, & MCPHS. Maintain classroom and laboratory space in a safe and efficient manner. Participate in national and state wide health related positions in area of expertise when appropriate and in alignment with professional development plan.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.

Rank is commensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications:

Required: A master?s degree (earned doctoral degree preferred) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution Initial certification from NBCOT and eligibility for NH occupational therapy license Possess documented expertise in one's area(s) of teaching responsibility and knowledge of the content delivery method Clinical practice expertise as an occupational therapist in one or more of the following practice areas: mental health, pediatrics, geriatrics, community-based practice or physical disability as determined by program needs

Desired: Teaching experience at the college level Clinical practice expertise in mental health or pediatrics
