The Graduate Assistant supports the Assistant Director of Campus Life in creating and implementing educational, social and recreational programming for students of MCPHS University.

Serves as a programming advisor for the Assembly of Clubs and Professional Organization’s (ACPO) and serves as a campus life advisor for clubs and professional organizations; specifically, budget requests, event approvals, retreat and training development and promotion Facilitates the coordination and implementation of programs sponsored by clubs and professional organizations, including but not limited to: room reservations, work orders, catering, billing, etc. Oversees the new club and professional organizations process Attends a student leadership conference with Assistant Director Coordinates all Community Service initiatives and programs such as Mission Hill Trick-or-Treat, COF Thanksgiving, Mitten Tree, etc. Attends the bi-weekly Colleges of the Fenway (COF) Student Activities Committee with Assistant Director Assists with the recruitment, selection, and training of student leaders such as ACPO Assists with large scale campus wide programming including, but not limited to, Orientation, Family Weekend, Harvest Ball, International Education Week, Leadership Banquet and Commencement Develops and implements a social media plan for the Center for Campus Life to promote the office, events and student leadership Demonstrates teamwork and leadership while working with and among student affairs staff Available, visible, and approachable to students within the college community, and attends college community functions and committees Possible night and weekend work Must be comfortable working with various forms of technology, including social media Assists with daily operations for the Center for Campus Life and additional duties as assigned


Required: Currently or will be pursuing a master’s degree in higher education and/or student affairs administration, education, counseling or related field concurrently while in the position.
