The Graduate Assistant supports the Assistant Dean of Campus Life in creating and implementing educational, social, and recreational programming for students of MCPHS University.

Assists with the creation and implementation of department policies and procedures Coordinates and assists with various aspects of the University-wide commencement program, including but not limited to: working with all three MCPHS University campuses, overseeing contracts and agreements from various vendors, and working with the Assistant Dean on all student communication Assists with maintenance of department budgets and implementation of budget policies and procedures for both staff and student leaders within Campus Life Assists with the advisement of the Student Government Association in collaboration with the Assistant Dean Creates content for, and oversees regular maintenance of, the Campus Life website Serves as the representative for MCPHS University on one of the COF (Colleges of the Fenway – College Consortium) committees Assists with the recruitment, selection, and training of student leaders such as the Student Government Association Assists with large scale campus-wide programming including, but not limited to, Orientation, Family Weekend, Harvest Ball, International Education Week, Leadership Banquet and Commencement Represents Campus Life on various institution-wide committees and initiatives, including but not limited to: MCPHS Supports (LGBTQ interest committee), MCPHS First Flight (first generation committee), etc. Demonstrates teamwork and leadership while working with and among student affairs staff Available, visible, and approachable to students within the college community, and attends college community functions and committees Possible night and weekend work Must be comfortable working with various forms of technology, including social media Assists with daily operations for the Center for Campus Life and additional duties as assigned


Required: Currently or will be pursuing a master’s degree in higher education and/or student affairs administration, education, counseling or related field concurrently while in the position
