The Nurse Educator, Perioperative Services will be responsible for:

  • Providing unit education in Perioperative Programs including the OR, PACU, Pere-Op Clinic and Day Surgery Unit.

  • Supporting of individual staff as well as educational planning and committee work.

  • Assessment of individual and group learning needs, ongoing evaluation of educational efforts and support/facilitation of specialty certification.

  • Assessment of education and collaboration with Leadership to ensure that staff receive patient safety, mandatory competency training, as well as other training related to policies and procedures and advanced technologies that support perioperative nursing practice.

  • Reporting to the Director of Nursing in Perioperative Services and being an important part of the nursing leadership team.

To qualify, you must have:

  • A BSN and a minimum of five years of perioperative experience, at least three of which are in the operating room.

  • CNOR certification required, other perioperative specialty certification a plus.

  • Leadership and pediatric experience as well as project management experience preferred.
