The Harvard Business Analytics Program is a partnership between Harvard Business School (HBS), the Harvard Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and the Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) to design, launch and deliver a Business Analytics Certificate Program. The program consists of six online courses with two campus immersions co-developed and taught by faculty from each school.
The program will be marketed, developed and delivered in collaboration with an external online learning platform provider. Elements of the program administration and delivery will be provided by HBX, HBS’ digital learning effort, on behalf of HBS, SEAS and FAS.
Reporting to the Director of Program Services, the Program Director is responsible for assisting in the successful creation and launch of a new online graduate-level (although no degree is granted) certificate program. Once classes begin, the Program Director oversees critical processes, identifies improvements, resolves issues, and facilitates and helps ensure day-to-day success. The position requires a collaborative and supportive relationship with faculty, and the ability to work with a cross-functional team of professionals across many School and University disciplines.
Manage the successful implementation of a new online certificate program
Oversees and manages the relationship and contract with the external platform provider to facilitate the implementation of key student-facing processes, such as application, enrollment and registration. Ensure commitments are met by all parties in a timely and quality-driven manner
Working with HBX Program Services, Software Development, and Business Operations, design services and functionality to support the Harvard Business Analytics Program and an on-campus immersion module
Provide support and assistance in the onboarding of faculty involved in intellectual capital creation
Manage and track progress of key milestones and adjust plans as necessary
Provide operational and administrative leadership to the Program Director to ensure the ongoing success of the program
Serve as the liaison between Program leadership and key university functions across different schools such as admissions, registrar, compliance, marketing, IT, and student support. Identify and implement improvements to enhance the program, student satisfaction and/or faculty satisfaction with the program
Provide financial oversight of program and engagement. Working under the guidance of HBX Business Operations, establish, forecast and monitor relevant parts of the program budget.
Develop and maintain performance metrics for the program
Serve as the main point of contact for University issues
Develop strong proficiency in the Learning Management System and its supporting analytics and reporting
