Duties & Responsibilities SUMMARY: Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering & Applied Sciences (SEAS), this full-time non-exempt position in the FAS Development Office is responsible for developing and managing fundraising activities, completing projects, organizing meetings, and monitoring fundraising progress and workflow related to Harvard Paulson School fundraising. Specifically the Coordinator will support the work of the ED including but not limited to the following areas:• Supporting SEAS Dean’s Activity includingo Developing agendas for Dean’s Development meetings• Monitor SEAS top prospect activity includingo Top prospect monitoring & tracking, including developing agendas for ongoing and ad hoc meetings arranged for top principal prospects• Manage university-wide coordination of initiative fundraising activity within SEAS• SEAS Quarterly Team meetings• Ad hoc SEAS Campaign Co-chair support• Liaising with Operations on Data requests• Maintaining SEAS Source PageThe Coordinator will devise and maintain systems to facilitate ongoing fundraising activity for SEAS, including developing internal and external meeting agendas, minutes and next steps; assisting the ED in volunteer management responsibilities; assisting with reviewing briefings and managing other activities that will assist in advancing the SEAS fundraising activity. The Coordinator works with teams across AA&D to execute his/her work to advance fundraising strategies.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Works in partnership with and supports the work of the ED to lead and manage SEAS fundraising activity.2. Assist in identifying and tracking top prospects with SEAS/FAS and at times, with other schools across the University.3. Works in collaboration with Individual Giving and Operations to utilize infrastructure and systems to track fundraising activity.4. Anticipates and resolves problems, and provides guidance to colleagues reflecting knowledge gained through meetings involved with, and supporting the ED. Proactively facilitates frequent interaction and communication with colleagues across all departments.5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, in an extremely dynamic, fast-paced work environment. 6. The above covers the most significant responsibilities of the position. Basic Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience• Computer literacy required. Must have experience with Windows and databases.• Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

Additional Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree at an accredited university preferred.• Experience working in an academic setting within development field preferred.• Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to work competently and efficiently in a multi-task environment. Must have proven organizational skills, ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with multiple and sometimes conflicting interests. • Familiarity with BSR Advance a plus.• Must be creative and proactive, able to streamline work volume in order to maintain bottom line efforts in midst of multi-tasking and daily re-prioritizing. Must have the ability to work independently and part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be able to evaluate problems accurately and display good, sound, and confidential judgment. • Must have ability to innovate, think strategically and conceptually, manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle even difficult situations with a sense of humor. Must be able to listen carefully as well as to influence and persuade others. • Able to work effectively with internal and external constituencies in a University environment. • Must be motivated to learn and flexible to change.
