Position Description
The Department of South Asian Studies seeks applications for a preceptor in Sanskrit. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2024. The preceptor will be responsible for offering language instruction and course development at all levels of Sanskrit and across all genres. Teaching duties will include five courses during the academic year, with specific responsibility for elementary and intermediate Sanskrit.
The position is for three years, renewable for a term of up to five years, contingent on performance, enrollments, curricular need, position availability, and divisional dean authorization.
Basic Qualifications
The successful applicant should have experience in teaching Sanskrit at all levels.
Additional Qualifications
A strong graduate record at the doctoral level in any field of Sanskrit is required.
