Leadership is Currency at Crane
As the Operations Training Specialist in Dalton, MA you will play a critical role within an exciting, fast-growing organization known for innovative currency and banknote technologies. Ideal for an individual with experience in the development and execution of training, this position will oversee the management of the Crane Training System. In this position, you’ll also take the lead in identifying current and future training needs that will insure the organization has trained talent to meet shifting business priorities.
Work effectively with multiple stakeholder’s to insure that training heavily contributes to the realization of safety, quality and productivity goals.
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, success in meeting internal and external customer needs and return on investment.
Manage Training Developers in the creation and execution of Crane's US Government Products (USGP) training content.
Develop and manage curriculum for all plant employees.
Develop and manage a system that insures that employees have been trained in multiple skills to meet business needs.
Create training using a variety of methods (e-learning, classroom, on the job, coaching and simulations).
Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.
Handles confidential material in accordance with the Intellectual Property policy.
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
Certification as Process Excellence Practitioner or Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience in manufacturing industry required. Previous experience teaching, coaching or mentoring others preferred.
Ability to work with training equipment such as video and cameras.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel.
Experience in Learning Management Systems, Adobe Premier, Storyline Articulate or other training creation software preferred. Ability to learn all computer software that is required to create training.
Ability to translate processes, techniques and information into training.
Must be a self-directed learner in keeping on top of trends in effectively training adults.
Holds oneself to high professional standards.
Able to work under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
Able to quickly translate business changes into meaningful training that contributes to successful business outcomes.
Leads training team toward results through focus, measurement and accountability.
