Citizens for Citizens Head Start Preschool Teacher Assistant in FALL RIVER, Massachusetts
Provide comfort, support and primary caregiving to assigned group of children Actively participate in Team meetings. Performs educational and program tasks as determined by the Teacher helping to attain the goals of the program. Support implementation of Lesson Plan & Caregiving Schedules as outlined in partnership with the Teacher and Parents. Support appropriate referrals for families and follow up on outcomes with the Teacher. Ensure implementation of policies and procedures and EEC Licensing requirements In the absence of Teacher, assume Teacher responsibilities Qualifications: Associates in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or related field Preschool Teacher certified through EEC Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00-2:30 pm, 30 Hours per week, minimum 41 weeks a year Pay rate: \$16.05 per hour with CDA credential, \$18.08 per hour with Associates degree Excellent Benefit Package: Health & Dental Insurance, Life & Disability Insurance Paid Vacation, Sick & Personal Time Tuition Reimbursement Physical requirements: Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs; ability to maintain full attention at all times when working with children and/or families; sufficient mobility and strength to repeatedly sit, stand, carry infants/toddlers, balance, stoop, walk, stretch, bend, reach, kneel, and have full range of body motion; ability to react and move quickly; sufficient vision and hearing to perform job duties; Must have a physical every two years. A physician?s certificate is required.
