This position is responsible for the design, development and production of learning content using a formal instructional design methodology to support the programs defined by CA Education, including conducting needs analysis to identify learning initiatives, designing and developing learning solutions in a variety of delivery modes (e.g., instructor-led training, self-paced training, etc), as well as measuring the business impact and effectiveness of deployed learning solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities*

  • Design, develop, and produce quality learning programs for CA employees, customers, and/or partners.

  • Ensure content is developed consistent with instructional design methodology and adheres to key learning strategies for the target audience.

  • Collaborate with program/project management to plan, maintain, and execute project/program deliverables.

  • Assist in maintaining curriculum development processes and procedures.

  • Track and report relevant curriculum development metrics.

  • Meet with employees, customers, and/or partners, when necessary, to solicit feedback and learning requirements.

  • Work with other Readiness Teams to ensure the re-usability of content, materials, and IP gathered specifically for employee, customer, and partner training.

  • Work with the Learning Systems and Infrastructure Team to coordinate content development efforts with plans to implement new learning delivery systems, both internally to employees and externally to partners and customers.

  • Other responsibilities include:

o Ensure programs are developed consistent with department standards and best practices.

o Recommend and implement new approaches to work.

o Handle problems that arise in every-day work and escalate more complex problems, as appropriate.

  • How you’ll stand out*

  • Typically, 2+ years’ experience in instructional design, curriculum development, education, or business using formal methodologies and learning strategies. An added plus is experience in the production of technical courseware materials to support blended learning solutions

  • Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in a related field.

  • Knowledge of and practical experience with applying formal instructional design and curriculum development methodologies to corporate learning programs.

  • Highly motivated professional with strong strategic planning and project management capabilities.

  • Requires organizational agility (able to identify and work with many groups to achieve results), the ability to lead and drive change and a proven ability to maneuver through unstructured problems and create the necessary structure to drive for results.

  • Strong writing skills.

  • Experience with Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate, or similar programs.

  • Effective interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proficiency with MS Office tools and experience using learning development technologies.
