Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as the Assistant Program Director for the Riverside School and Day Program!

The Riverside School aims to provide student-centered educational experiences that foster a culture of mutual respect and appreciation for learning. Our services support opportunities for leadership within the school, home and larger community, allowing youth to develop self-esteem and to graduate within a timeframe commensurate with their peers. The Riverside School is a 12-month school.

The Assistant Program Director will work with the Program Director to oversee the day to day management of our Day Program and Riverside School in Needham. This unique program model includes all oversight of a Chapter 766 approved therapeutic day school for students in grades 6-12.

In addition, the Assistant Program Director will oversee, with the Program Director, a highly structured and supportive therapeutic program for adolescents, ages 12-18 years, that are presenting with major mental illness and who are experiencing disruptions in their home, school, or community. Job duties include all clinical oversight of the programs and supervision of clinical staff and interns.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required

Required Experience

  • Master’s Degree in a clinical mental health related discipline and independent clinical licensure required
  • Demonstrated management of employees and some clinical operations oversight/experience strongly preferred; Minimum of three years clinical supervisory responsibility in child mental health or similar human services setting; prior experience in a milieu setting preferred
  • Six years’ clinical experience in a multi-disciplinary mental health setting with minimum of three years child specific, direct clinical work after attaining graduate degree
