Description:

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all clinical information systems training and related material for the Diagnostic Imaging Department of Mercy Medical Center.

What you will do

  • Responsible for working with the Diagnostic Imaging Administrator, Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) team and maintains oversite of the Radiology Information System (RIS) to assure proper training is developed and available in conjunction with any new application implementations.

  • Functions as an educator, consultant, analyzer and resource to the Administrator and hospital staff for various education projects within the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

  • Will function as a Radiology Technologist as needed.

  • Plans, implements, and continually evaluates technologists, radiologists or providers as needed in computer skills and applications training/learning,

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Work requires the level of knowledge acquired through completion of an Associate's degree program in Radiologic Technology plus three months or less of on-the-job training and orientation.

  • Licensure : Currently licensed as a Radiologic Technologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and registered with A.R.R.T. Five (5) years' experience with a PACS system. Five (5) years' of previous work related experience as a radiologic technologist. Experience with Radiology Information systems is preferred.
