SY23-24 Springfield Realization Academy Instructional Paraprofessional (Immediate Opening) Job Description: Grade Level: 6-8 Location: Springfield Realization Academy at Forest Park Springfield Realization Academy (SRA) is a 6th-8th grade school within the Springfield Public School District in Massachusetts. We are a dual-language school that offers a technology enhanced college preparation curriculum that embeds 21st century learning skills. We are seeking a dedicated and competent educator for the position of Instructional Paraprofessional. We currently have students in 6th and 7th grades and will accept another grade of students in the fall, when we will have our full complement of students in 6-8 grade. We are building a founding team of passionate, adaptive, and detail-oriented educators who are committed to equity in educational opportunities for children of underserved communities, and whose educational philosophy aligns with our mission: Springfield Realization Academy (SRA) provides a technology enhanced, college preparatory curriculum that is tailored to meet the needs of students in grades 6-8. Through effective instruction, including an emphasis on bilingual education, purposeful use of data, and in partnership with our families, we ensure our students develop the 21st century learning skills to be successful in high school, college and beyond. The Instructional Paraprofessional will assist teachers in providing an innovative, high quality education program designed to meet the needs of all our scholars. Paraprofessionals will work with school sta? to create an educational environment that meets the needs of all students by providing instructional assistance, classroom support, and implementing e?ective classroom strategies. Key Responsibilities Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings. Provides assistance with classroom activities. Prepares instructional materials. Manages individual and classroom behavior. Supervises students on field trip activities. Performs other support services and related duties as requested by Building Principal.
