Scope of Position:
The Corning Life Sciences program has been designed to develop well-rounded professionals in technology and business by utilizing assignments of increasing responsibility. Over the course of the program, students will gain valuable experience through the various projects they complete while contributing to Corning's overall business goals.
Students employed in the program complete projects in all areas of the business. Examples of project type and functional areas involved include:
- Manufacturing Technician
- Continuous Improvement
- Quality Engineering
- Finance and Budget Management
- Project Management
- Business Team Leader
- Supply Chain / Logistics
- Sterilization & Micro Lab
As students progress through the program and achieve a higher level of performance, they gain the option to generate project proposals for business improvements in areas that interest them. This allows students to capitalize on their academic concentrations and pervious work experience.
