The Learning Consultant is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of Cerner’s training and education programs to promote growth, development and adoption by Cerner associates and its client. This role executes training programs based on the needs and objectives of the business and its client organization.

​Key Activities

  • Consult with and coordinate between Cerner and client project leaders to identify capability gaps impacting current and future business strategies

  • Develop and Communication a learning and communication plan which aligns with project goals

  • Develop appropriate learning curriculum to meet business needs including process design and solution adoption best practices to address gaps in motivation and ability

  • Conduct training and classroom-based coaching onsite and in virtual environments that build motivation and ability

  • Prepare lesson plans including methods, materials and documentation to be presented

  • Revise, modify and develop course content to address current solution features, functions and workflow to address client needs

  • Evaluate learning solution effectiveness using best practice methodologies aligned with performance and business outcomes

  • Work directly with Physicians to develop, implement and evaluate training and education programs for clients to advance adoption of best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • At least 1 year of facilitation or training experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or similar field


  • Willing to work overtime or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Occasional travel required for internal and offsite trainings

  • Excellent communication and organization skills

  • Has strong client facing presentation and facilitation skills (may be demonstrated through teaching Client or Associate classes or presentations)

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite

  • Ability to work overtime and irregular hours when needed

  • Ability to travel as necessary depending on assignment

  • Willing to live in or relocate to the Lowell, MA area
