Olympus America Inc. Intern, Mechanical Engineering in Waltham, Massachusetts
Waltham, MA - Olympus America is seeking interns to participate in a 10 week program designed to expose university-enrolled students to a holistic real-world, work experience through the completion of company learning sessions and finite, interest-based tasks and projects. An intern will experience specific assignments based on his or her field of study in connection with one of four program tracks: Communications/Corporate Services,Compliance, Legal & Corporate Governance, Finance/Operations and Life Science/Technology. This position will be based in Waltham, MA. Relocation assistance and the opportunity to work remotely are not available for this position. This is a short-term position that will run for approximately 10 weeks.

Attend and meaningfully participate in all weekly group learning sessions to complete a company Core Curriculum program
Collaborate with Supervisor to take on and complete track-based assignments and projects
Observe and, where appropriate, add value during business meetings and discussions

Completed sophomore year status of a bachelor degree at an accredited 4-year college and/or currently enrolled in a law school or full time graduate school program is required.
Attend a college, university, law school or graduate school within 55 miles of Waltham, MA or maintain a permanent residence within 40 miles of Waltham, MA is required.
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher is preferred.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills is necessary.
Must have the ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic and deadline driven environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize/execute multiple concurrent tasks is desired.
Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills is a must.
Must have a skilled in writing and public speaking.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must.
The ability to demonstrate methods where a complex message was conveyed in a simple and creative format is necessary.
