Designs, prepares, manages, and maintains safe, model preschool environment both in the Page Building and at the research lab at the Science Center. Develops and organizes creative, exemplary curriculum for classroom and playground. Trains and supervises interns, student teachers, Wellesley College students, students from other institutions, and volunteers. Counsels, advises and confers with parents, school systems, outside agencies, Wellesley College students and students from other institutions. Helps design, facilitate, and monitor faculty and student research. Evaluates children and students and writes reports about them. Ensures interesting classroom environment for over 3,000 observers per year. Presents case histories to clinical consultant. Represents Child Study Center to general public and to professional colleagues through guest lectures, writings, attendance at college and professional conferences, etc. Conducts home visits. Keeps up-to-date on current research in psychology and education. Presents professional workshops to staff and students at the Child Study Center as well as other professionals.
-Bachelor's degree. Commonwealth of Massachusetts Office of Child Care Services Lead Teacher Certification.
-Knowledge of child development, early childhood education, and supervisory experience
-Ability to work with constituents of many ages who have many different goals.
