POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITTLE: Summer Day Program Activity Leader - Arts & Crafts RESPONSIBLE TO: Summer Day Program Director PRIMARY FUNCTION: Is responsible for the development and implementation of the Day Arts & Crafts Program. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.0 Implements the Arts & Crafts Program and sets up and helps run Friday closing meetings. 2.0 Other Duties as Assigned 3.0 Does a complete Inventory all equipment before and after the program. 4.0 Orders any new equipment as needed 5.0 Be a reference person for all Head Counselor\'s ILLUSTRATION OF KEY DUTIES: 1.0 IMPLEMENTS THE SUMMER DAY ARTS AND CRAFTS PROGRAM 1.1 Develops and implements a daily arts & crafts program that is based on the age and interests of the participants. 1.2 Develops a Arts & Crafts schedule. Meets with the Director once a week to go over written plans for each group and Friday\'s closing meeting. 1.3 Makes requests to the Director for materials needed to conduct the Arts & Crafts program within the budget. 1.4 Is responsible for the care and storage of the Arts & Crafts material and equipment. Reports all missing or broken equipment to the Director. Completes end of season inventory of all Arts & Crafts material and equipment. Makes written recommendations for future program offerings and equipment acquisition 1.5 Reports safety concerns to the Director and keeps the area safe during program. 1.6 Completes written evaluation of the program twice during the season. 1.7 Establishes and maintains positive interactions with all staff, children, and parents. 1.8 Acts as swim assistant during swim lessons and a watcher during open swim. 1.9 Does a complete inventory before camp and at the end of camp. Packs up all supplies in an orderly fashion every day and at the end of the program. 2.0 OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED 2.1 Takes part in and assists with all program wide activities, including daily open swim and lunch. 2.2 Does other duties as assigned.
