Job Description
The Department of Chemistry (http://www.umass.edu/chemistry) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a full-time, academic year, tenure-track faculty member to develop or continue a vigorous research program in Materials Chemistry; applications are particularly encouraged in the area of Inorganic Materials Chemistry.
Requirements
We are seeking talented applicants qualified for Assistant Professor positions. Under exceptional circumstances, highly qualified candidates at other ranks will receive consideration.Women and applicants from other groups underrepresented in Chemistry are particularly encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related field with relevant post-doctoral experience is required.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant, collaborative and interdisciplinary materials science and engineering community at UMass Amherst and will also be a member of the recently initiated interdisciplinary materials science and engineering graduate program (MSE IDGP;https://websites.umass.edu/mseidgp/), which brings together over 60 faculty members from the College of Natural Sciences and College of Engineering.
