Job Summary

Assist with building & facility operations of the Recreation Center under the Campus Recreation Department.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with building & facility operations of the Recreation Center under the Campus Recreation Department.

  • Supervise, evaluate and direct student staff personnel.

  • Supervise recreation participants, including students, faculty, staff, associate members and guests, who use the Recreation Center to ensure that policies and regulations are enforced.

  • Complete daily reports as necessary.

  • Maintain recreation areas and/or equipment including cleaning and minor repair.

  • Respond to accident and/or injury situations and follow procedures.

  • Secure building and recreation areas.

  • Act as a liaison between the campus population and the Campus Recreation staff.

Other Functions

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • High school diploma required.

  • Oral and written communication skills.

  • Interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work variable shift(s): opening (5:30am), morning, mid-day, evening, closing (12:30am)

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • Current adult first aid/CPR/AED.

  • Experience working with students and/or in a health, fitness, or recreation setting.

  • Knowledge of and experience in risk management.

  • Experience in an educational or recreational setting.

Salary Information

$15/hr
