Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a SCADA Engineer for a large energy management and engineering automation company. This organization is responsible for automating technology and installing management systems within net new data centers across the globe. We are looking for someone with experience on AVEVA System Platform knowledge. You will be designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting SCADA systems to monitor and control industrial and critical building automation processes. This role requires a deep understanding of SCADA software, hardware, and network infrastructures, as well as a strong commitment to ensuring system reliability, security, and performance. You will leverage the overall industrial automation product line to develop and deliver innovative solutions and technologies to todays top web giants and segment leaders.

This position requires travel via plane and car about once every 2 months.. The remainder of the year you can work remotely from your home, working a standard 40 hours/week, preferably sitting in EST or CST hours. Compensation:

$75-85/hr

Skills and Requirements

Background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent field

 5+ years of engineering experience in SCADA system design, implementation, and support.

 Strong experience with SCADA software platforms (e.g., AVEVA System Platform, Wonderware, Ignition, Siemens, GE iFIX, etc.)

 Strong understanding of network architecture and system integration with knowledge of networking and cybersecurity principles for control systems.

 Familiarity with SQL and database management systems.

 Familiarity with communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, DNP3, OPC, etc.).

 Experience with PLCs, BMSs, RTUs, and other automation systems with an understanding of control systems and automation hardware (e.g., PLCs, sensors, relays, etc.).

 Willing to travel SCADA certification or relevant industry certifications

 Experience with cloud-based SCADA systems or IoT integration null
