Endicott's School of Social Sciences, Communication, & Humanities is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach CMM204 Promotional Writing for the spring 2022 semester. This is an in-person, on-campus course conducted on Monday/Wednesday from 3:30 - 4:45 pm. Our spring semester begins on January 24, 2022 and ends May 13, 2022.
CMM204 course description: Application of copywriting for print broadcast and digital marketing communication. Includes integration of copy and graphics, media advantages and restrictions, amplification, proofing and style, and use of rhetorical devices in the planning and development of advertising campaigns to meet specific client objectives. Satisfies the writing designated core requirement.
The adjunct instructor responsibilities:
Follow the existing syllabus template and honor the course's description learning outcomes and status as an official writing designated course.
Teach the course in its assigned time block (M/W 3:30 - 4:45pm)
Be aware of and abide by Endicott's academic policies, policies in the college's faculty handbook, and any policies that may be in place due to COVID-19 or any variant thereof.
Use Canvas as the course's learning management system
Meet deadlines for roster verification and submission of grades
Communicate with the Faculty Lead for Communication if and when issues arise concerning the teaching of CMM204
Meet with students if they request assistance or need clarification for any course-related matter
Provide samples of student work for assessment purposes, if requested
Use their Endicott email address when communicating with students
Master's required, doctorate preferred. Although candidates who have significant industry experience in lieu of degree may be considered
Teaching experience required, preferably at the college level
