Endicott College is seeking an
Assistant Professor of Architectural & Design Studies to start Fall 2023
The Assistant Professor Architectural and Design Studies teaches both studio and lecture courses for Architectural Studies and Interior Architecture majors at the Master and the Baccalaureate levels. They will teach courses and advise students for three semesters, Fall/Winter (considered one semester), Spring and Summer. This is a full-time, 12-month, faculty position.

This position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Endicott College Faculty Association (ECFA) and Endicott College. ECFA is a faculty union organized under the NEA.
Responsibilities include:
Teach 8 courses per academic year, including a combination of lecture and design studios.
Advise up to 50 Architectural Studies and/or Interior Architecture students.
Assist in the development of internship relationships and student opportunities
Attend department, school, and college meetings.
Participates in accreditation processes and procedures, including CIDA, NASAD and NECHE.
Engage in professional scholarship, research, and publishing.
Assist in curriculum development.
Participates in department, school, and college service.
Perform other duties as required and as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Endicott College Faculty Association (ECFA) and Endicott College.
Qualifications:
Terminal degree; either the Master of Fine Arts in Interior architecture or the Master of Architecture. The ideal candidate would hold degrees in both Interior Architecture and Architecture.
NCIDQ or pass exam within two years of employment.
LEED, WELL, or Passive House Institute certification preferred.
Familiarity with Council for Interior Design Accreditation Standards and Procedures.
Expertise in Design Theory and History of Architecture and minimum of 2 of the following areas: Architectural and Interior Architecture studio topics (Healthcare Environments, Adaptive Reuse, Workplace Environments), Building Codes, Lighting, Materials, Building Systems.
Expertise in BIM software (REVIT | Sketch-Up) | RHINOCEROS 3D | AutoCAD | Parametric Design and Energy Modeling Software) for Architecture required.
LEED, WELL, or Passive House Institute certification.
Familiarity with National Architectural Accrediting Board Standards and Procedures.
Familiarity with Council for Interior Design Accreditation Standards and Procedures.
Familiarity with National Accreditation of Schools of Art + Design Standards and Procedures.
2-4 years college level teaching experience.
3-5 years professional architectural experience
Strong team – oriented interpersonal relationship skills
Desire to work in a student – centered, teaching oriented institution
