Endicott College Director of Community Standards in Beverly, Massachusetts

Endicott College’s new Student Affairs leadership team is seeking a Director of Community Standards. The Director of Community Standards will work with the Dean of Students in the management and adjudication of violations of the Student Code of Conduct. In addition, the Director will assist in the development and maintenance of a campus environment which is conducive to students' academic success, personal growth and safety within the campus community. This position will address behavioral concerns and coordinate student intervention initiatives, while promoting the high ethical and behavioral standards of the college. The Director of Community Standards indirectly supervises nine Residence Directors as Hearing Officers.

Qualifications include:

  • Possess academic credentials and experience suitable to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position with a Master’s degree in a related field, required.

  • A minimum of 6 - 8 years’ experience as a hearing officer with broad skills as an educator within a higher education context.

  • Knowledge of higher education principles, practices and procedures and best practices in student affairs.

  • Experience in managing and de-escalating crisis situations.

  • Expertise in alcohol and drug education is desirable. A broad knowledge of student development theory, issues, and trends in the field.

  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
