Endicott College Director, Simulation and Labs in Nursing Programs in Beverly, Massachusetts

Endicott College School of Nursing is seeking a passionate and creative Director of Simulation and Labs in Nursing Programs to be a thought-partner as the college continues to evolve. With direction from the Dean and Associate Dean, the Director of Simulation provides leadership and vision for all aspects of the Nursing Simulation & Clinical Learning Center . This includes leading all simulated learning experiences within the school while creating an environment that fosters clinical judgment and enhances psychomotor skill competence.

General responsibilities include:

  • Teach in the undergraduate/graduate curriculum and/or simulation each semester as negotiated through the annual course assignment process.

  • Manage all activities associated with the Nursing Simulation & Clinical Learning Center including resource needs, technology advances, enhanced services and strategic planning including preparation of relevant business plans.

  • Ensure responsible management in all areas of technology within the Nursing Simulation & Clinical Learning Center including proper o peration and maintenance of mannequins, computer, AV, and medical equipment.

    Requirements/Qualification

  • Master’s in Nursing required;

  • Training in simulation-based education and three or more years of simulation-based nursing education experience;

  • Certification as a simulation specialist or a willingness to become a simulation expert highly valued.

  • Significant professional practice experience in many areas of nursing

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, customer service skills, and conflict resolution skills with high interest in working with all levels of learners (traditional, non-traditional and adult students);

  • Commitment to inclusive education and developing cultural competencies among students with a lens toward social justice;

  • Documented record of academic scholarship in a related field;

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor students at the undergraduate and graduate levels;

  • Evidence of outstanding teaching competencies, including online, lab, and simulation;

  • E vidence of a commitment to service;

  • Active participation in professional organizations;

  • Self-directed with excellent organizational skills;

  • Detailed-oriented and student centered are essential to the position;

  • Strong computer experience, which must include abilities to work effectively with MS Office suite products, i.e. Word, Excel, Power-Point and Google Suite, Canvas Learning Management System, and Laerdal and Gaumard simulation software.
