Endicott College International Student Services Advisor in Beverly, Massachusetts

The Office of International Education at Endicott College is seeking an International Student Services Advisor (ISSA) to work closely with the Dean to manage and support international students. The ISSA will provide advising and support to both new and returning international students at both undergraduate and graduate levels. This support includes but is not limited to: USCIS immigration compliance, visa and employment matters; supporting academic success and internships; conducting international student orientations; and facilitating cultural adjustment.

Additional responsibilities include planning and executing international and intercultural programming on campus, including Intercultural Club, the International Peer Mentor program and special events such as: International Education Week and the Global Village festivals. The International Student Services Advisor also acts as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for the SEVIS system and responsible for maintaining accurate and up to date records within SEVIS.

The Office of International Education services approximately 110 international students, 80 of those being visa-bearing students (F-1 and J-1), from 37 countries.


  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in a related field;

  • 2- years of professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience;

  • Familiarity with U.S immigration regulations which affect international students;

  • Experience studying/living/working abroad preferred;

  • Demonstrated success in program planning and implementation;

  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail;

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and ongoing projects;

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with various constituencies (domestic and international students, campus administrators, faculty, parents, etc.);

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills for in-person, email and telephone communication;

  • Must be able to work effectively in a high traffic work environment;

  • Adaptable, flexible, culturally sensitive

  • Positive attitude, innovative, open-minded

  • Strong ability to contribute to a team

  • Good judgment and able to take initiative in solving problems effectively

  • Fluency in English required, foreign language ability preferred

  • Must be United States citizen to perform required immigration duties

  • Must be available for evening and weekend events
