The Center for Online Learning and Academic Innovation is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Health Promotion and Education during the summer 2018 semester. This is a Master's level course required for all Master of Public Health (MPH) candidates. This course outlines the history, evolution, and practice of health education among groups that define themselves as a community. There is a focus on health behaviors, environmental influences, health policy, and economic and health system issues in health promotion and disease prevention.


Required: An advanced degree (Masters, PhD, or DrPH) in public health or a related field (e.g., sociology, healthcare or a health-related field) Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills A commitment to graduate education and the ability to engage and motivate students

Desired: Previous experience teaching public health courses, preferably in a Master?s program Practical experience in a public health agency, non-profit or other setting at the local, state, tribal, territorial or federal level
