MCPHS University Adjunct Faculty - Master of Public Health - Community Health Science and Practice in Boston, Massachusetts

Overview

MCPHS is seeking applicants for adjunct faculty in the School of Arts and Sciences.

Responsibilities

The School of Arts and Sciences is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Community Health Science and Practice during the Spring 2021 semester in both fully online and hybrid course formats. Hybrid format courses would likely meet each week on Thursday evenings. This is a Master's-level course required for all Master of Public Health (MPH) candidates concentrating in Community Health. The course examines the most current issues in community health. Primary, secondary, and tertiary measures to prevent and treat conditions most prevalent at the community level are addressed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • An advanced degree (Masters, PhD, or DrPH) in public health or a related field (e.g., sociology, healthcare or a health-related field)

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • A commitment to graduate education and the ability to engage and motivate students

Desired:

  • Previous experience teaching public health courses, preferably in a Master’s program

  • Practical experience in a public health agency, non-profit or other setting at the local, state, tribal, territorial or federal level
