As a Agile Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in helping our customers reach their full potential by developing process-driven solutions that drive measurable results. You will work closely with our customers to gain a deep understanding of their unique business needs, challenges, and opportunities. Armed with this knowledge, you will leverage your expertise in aligning processes to technology to design, develop, and deploy custom solutions that exceed their goals.

You will be responsible for analyzing our customers' current business processes, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for incremental improvement. With your strong analytical skills, you will recommend process changes, new technologies, or appropriate organizational changes that drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance.

In this role, you will also develop a large-scale strategic vision and ensure that all new business processes align with it. You will manage sales processes beyond day-to-day procurement to maintain strong customer relations and ensure that all stakeholders are on board with the recommended solutions.

Who You Are

The Agile Product Owner is responsible for prioritizing, defining, and delivering application and solution roadmaps for Kyndryl’s Agile application development practice. The right person would utilize their technical knowledge to bridge the gap between product and technical aspects of product development. They would collaborate closely with operational leaders, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver on the application and solution roadmaps of our customers. Strong technical skills, organizational skills, and consensus building are critical skills for this role.

Responsibilities

· Facilitate discussions and workshops to gather product requirements from business stakeholders and users of the application/solution

· Translate business requirements into detailed technical feature specifications in the form of user stories. Develop measurable acceptance criteria that can be tested

· Create, prioritize and maintain the backlog, create use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria around the product and communicate them effectively to stakeholders and teams

· Collaborate with technical leadership to ensure IT architectural roadmap aligns with application backlog

· Accept or reject the delivery team's work results; focused on ensuring development decisions stay aligned with business needs, addressing issues that arise as quickly as possible

· Be the voice of the customer to the delivery team and the voice of the team to the customer

· Lead application demos to key stakeholders, showcasing features and capabilities

· Coordinate and plan product releases

· Participate in daily Scrum meetings to support developers and QA team during sprints

· Actively contribute innovative ideas and support ad hoc projects

  • Ability to think and act strategically, and as well as execute tactically with bias toward action

  • Ability to travel as required

Experience:

· 3-5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager on an agile scrum team, including; 4+ years tactical experience with agile software development lifecycle methodologies including developing executable backlog, writing technical user stories and acceptance criteria

· Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements

  • Expertise in software development methodologies and processes, team structure, productivity metrics, techniques and continuous improvement initiatives

· Strong organization and project / process management skills, initiative

· Good negotiation, problem solving, planning and decision-making skills

· Excellent follow through, attention to detail, and time management skills

· Working experience with ADO, JIRA or other Agile tools

· Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience:

· Experience with business development or solution creation; ability to influence decision-making and advocate for effective strategies

· UX Design is a plus

· Experience with Azure DevOps is a plus

· MS in Computer Science

· Formal training in Business/System analysis, Pragmatic Marketing; familiarity with latest UI/UX design guidelines; knowledge/experience with SAFe/Agile methodologies; prototyping experience.

· Cloud certifications is a plus

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $85,920 to $163,320 based on a full-time schedule.

Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California:$94,440 to $195,840

Colorado: $85,920 to $163,320

New York City: $103,080 to $195,840

Washington: $94,440 to $179,400

Washington DC:$94,440 to $179,400

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
