Agriculture Sales Agronomist
Provide technical support to customers on the use of granular, liquid, water soluble and blended controlled release agricultural fertilizers used in Agriculture.
Sales efforts will include qualifying prospects; uncovering key account needs; creating distributor and grower relationships; and implementing financially sound end user marketing programs that leverage significant sales growth with appropriate contribution to profit.
Serve as product steward for all products to assure their proper use and disposal in accordance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidelines and Good Agronomic Practices (GAP).
Participate in safety training and adhere to ICL policies on Environment Health and Safety.
Prospecting for new opportunity crop segments in North Central North America Agriculture.
Complete participation and embracement of the Everris CRM tool.
Set proper trial protocols against the competition and other technologies.
Know and understand the financial expectations of the sales budget.
Ability to build relationships both internal and external.
Analytical skills including ability to read and understand nutritional values relating to soil, water and plant material.
Must be able to manage personal goals, corporate objectives and keep a customer centric focus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Computer skills to include: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Map Point
Must have excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team setting.
Must reside in MI, WI, IN, or MN
Must be able to travel up to 50%.
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related field with coursework in plant science, soil science, plant health and plant nutrition.
Five+ year’s experience as an Agricultural Sales Agronomist.
Experience developing complete nutrient management programs following Good Agronomic Practices (GAP).
Experience in agricultural plant nutrition.
