Boston University ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, ACADEMIC ADVISING, Questrom School of Business, Undergraduate Program Office Counseling in BOSTON, Massachusetts
Support the delivery of student services to current Questrom School of Business undergraduate students, other BU students taking Questrom courses, prospective students, and Questrom faculty and staff.
Perform academic advising, related administrative duties, and event coordination.
Serve as the primary leader of, and advisor to, Questrom peer-to-peer programming initiatives, such as Peer Advising Program; also develop and execute comprehensive training programs for peer LOCK Tutors and Teaching Assistants.
Serve as UDC leader on outreach and support for historically underrepresented and underestimated students and First-Gen students, collaborating with relevant Questrom and BU departments to enhance initiatives.
B.A./B.S. required, Master's Degree in Education or Counseling preferred, exceptional oral and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, demonstrated ability to speak and present in a classroom environment and preference for one to three of experience in academic advising or higher education. Some weekends and evening work will be required.
