Boston University ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, ACADEMIC ADVISING, Questrom School of Business, Undergraduate Program Office Counseling in BOSTON, Massachusetts

  • Support the delivery of student services to current Questrom School of Business undergraduate students, other BU students taking Questrom courses, prospective students, and Questrom faculty and staff.

  • Perform academic advising, related administrative duties, and event coordination.

  • Serve as the primary leader of, and advisor to, Questrom peer-to-peer programming initiatives, such as Peer Advising Program; also develop and execute comprehensive training programs for peer LOCK Tutors and Teaching Assistants.

  • Serve as UDC leader on outreach and support for historically underrepresented and underestimated students and First-Gen students, collaborating with relevant Questrom and BU departments to enhance initiatives.

Required Skills

B.A./B.S. required, Master's Degree in Education or Counseling preferred, exceptional oral and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, demonstrated ability to speak and present in a classroom environment and preference for one to three of experience in academic advising or higher education. Some weekends and evening work will be required.
