Job Description

The Assistant Director, Community Engagement (PEMBA Lead) is primarily responsible for growing the residential MBA community by developing and executing upon engagement opportunities for program students, faculty, and staff. The person in this role partners with program constituents to create co-curricular and extra-curricular experiences such as book clubs and mentor programs to align with the MBA program’s mission and strategic vision. The person in this role acts as primary liaison to the student government (Questrom Graduate Council) and oversees all Questrom graduate clubs and organizations, including club advising, communications, financial reporting, and liaising with central university partners. They also manage the student organization and communication platform (CampusGroups), and supervise a Senior Program Coordinator, who supports the student club initiatives, office ordering, and budget tracking. This position shares responsibility in supporting the development of Questrom’s Global Immersion travel courses. Finally, the Assistant Director conceptualizes and oversees MBA Center-based events, such as MOD celebrations, Cheers with Professors, and trivia nights, or others. As part of a greater MBA Center team supporting MBA students’ full experience, the Assistant Director, Community Engagement supports curricular initiatives as needed and has opportunity to cross-train within academic and curricular knowledge areas.

Required Skills

B.A./B.S., Masters Degree in related field preferred, strong oral and written communication skills, highly organized and the ability to multi-task and two to four years of experience in counseling, student services, or higher education administration. Prior event planning experience required. Some evening and occasional weekend work required.
