Job Description

The candidate will provide student services support which is a primary function of GMS. Responsibilities include: Execute activities central to the maintenance of student registration and academic records, including managing and implementing all activities required for PhD dissertation submissions and defenses, as well as master's thesis submissions. Manage an implementing Summer, Fall, and Spring course scheduling for all GMS programs. Contribute to review, verification and accuracy of official transcripts and forms imported to OnBase, Adobe Acrobat, Degree Advice or other applicable platforms. Strengthen and improve the GMS educational experience by providing expert advice concerning graduation requirements, course choices, university policies and academic progress to faculty, as well as new, continuing and potential students in a variety of degree, non-degree and certificate programs. Manage office maintenance including facilities and supplies, and provide supplemental support to special GMS activities such as graduation and orientation. Provide administrative support to the Academic Policy Committee and other committees as needed.

Required Skills

Qualifications: Bachelors degree with 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Two or more years of experience in higher education, enrollment management or student services is preferred. Familiarity with federal privacy laws such as FERPA and HIPAA and maintenance of information confidentiality is essential. Skill Requirements: The ideal candidate is adaptable, highly motivated, professional, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. The successful applicant will have a background in higher education and will be familiar and comfortable with changing technology. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
