Boston University ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR OPERATIONS, DISABILITY SERVICES, Dean of Students, Student Affairs in BOSTON, Massachusetts

Assists Director to evaluate and respond to student access needs and resource demands, patterns of student access request/usage and concerns/ about access, access compliance Assists Director with the policies and procedures related to academic accommodations and services. Assists with strategic planning, staff training and budgeting, service improvements, etc. Campus Consultation & Outreach Assists Director to develop practices which guide stakeholders (including administrators, faculty, and staff) to promote inclusive practices and access for members of the BU community. Delivers training to and provides technical consultations for faculty, staff, and students to foster awareness, sensitivity, and knowledge regarding access

Required Skills

Intermediate understanding of relevant statutes which apply to accommodation determination and compliance requirements. Experience and/or understanding of disabilities access requirements as applied to a broad purview of student requests/needs. Excellent communication, customer service, organizational and managerial skills are required.
