We care for patients with a wide range of neurodevelopmental diagnoses. From infancy through adolescence, children receive an age-appropriate, comprehensive developmental evaluation and ongoing follow up care. Our clinicians are a multidisciplinary group of developmental behavioral pediatricians, APRNs, and Psychologists. Patients are seen for motor, language, or social delays as well as learning, attention or behavioral concerns. Programs within the center include the Autism Spectrum Center, Down Syndrome Program, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Program.

The Clinical Assistant will be responsible for :

  • Obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure.

  • Performing other related duties according to specific needs of unit.

  • Answering and directing patient messages and maintaining environment of care including ordering and stocking. Transporting supplies and equipment as needed.

  • Collaborating with team including Child Life and/or Behavioral Response Team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

  • Working at 2 Brookline Place, M-F 8:30a-5p.

    To qualify, you must have:

  • 1 year of Clinical Assistant/Nursing experience preferred.

  • A HS Diploma or equivalent.

  • The ability to: exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain hospital policies and relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or hospital employees.

  • Flexibility.

  • Good communication skills.

  • The ability to work on a team.

  • Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other neurodevelopmental conditions preferred.
