We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the legal industry, based in Boston, Massachusetts. The Controller will be the exclusive financial individual within the team, responsible for managing all financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain Tabs3

• Review and process client invoices through Tabs3

• Maintain IOLTA accounts

• Oversight and review of all general ledger transactions

• Oversight of the 1099 process

• Cash management including deposits, cash flow budget and projections

• Bank reconciliations

• Payroll processing

• Manage the monthly and annual financial review including assisting in the development and monitoring of the revenue and expense budgets

• Identify, own and manage projects and systems that introduce and improve processes used by the Legal team. Coordinate with law firm administrator

• Liaison with outside CPA

  Requirements

• 5+ years of hands on accounting experience.

• Law firm is ideal, but must have some Professional Services experience (billable hours)

• Can work well with all levels of the organization

• Experience with Tabs3 or similar software preferred
