Boston University DENTAL ASSISTANT, ENDODONTICS, School of Dental Medicine in BOSTON, Massachusetts
Provide clinical support to the students and residents utilizing 4 handed dentistry, including but not limited to: preparing dental material for needed procedures, taking impressions and bite registrations, fabricating and cementing temporary crowns, suctioning and retracting during procedures. This includes ensuring assigned operatories are cleaned and disinfected between each patient being seen and set up for the next procedure, prepare instruments for sterilization including suction heads and treatment bay cuspidors.
Vocational or Technical training required. 1-3 years of experience required.
Seat and prepare patients for treatment, deliver patient oral hygiene instructions, assist in intra and extraoral photographs. Take digital x-rays, cephlametric, panoramic and CT scans of diagnostic quality as requested. Order and maintain an inventory of supplies. Practice and adhere to OSHA and HIPAA regulations at all times.
