The Director will manage financial aid services to Metropolitan Colleges graduate students.
Provide advising and administrative support to graduate students regarding their financial aid options.
Evaluate and analyze detailed confidential student financial information to determine student eligibility for financial aid.
Provide guidance on financial aid applications to support determinations of award and denial decisions consistent with federal law and University policy.
Counsel and respond to questions, appeals, and complaints of graduate students regarding University financial aid decisions.
Administer certain College scholarship programs, prepare reports, and supervise additional College financial assistance staff.
B.A./B.S. required, M.A./M.S. preferred
3-5 years of experience in a college/university financial aid office required
Knowledge of university, federal, and state financial aid regulations, guidelines, policies and programs
The ability to be detail oriented and to manage time efficiently
The ability to process a high volume of financial aid applications with strict deadlines
The ability to maintain strict confidentiality in dealing with students financial situations
