Boston University DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS, Enrollment and Student Affairs in BOSTON, Massachusetts
The Director of Communications to Enrolled Students is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive and consistent communications strategy that enables the departments of Enrollment and Student Administration to effectively communicate all essential enrollment-related information to Boston University's enrolled students in ways that encourage student engagement, retention, and success. The director advises, plans and assists ENSA directors and departments in website design, implementation and maintenance, utilizing current best practices. In conjunction with BU Marketing and Communications, coordinates interactive design efforts in support of Enrollment web, social media, and video production projects, and implements print and email communications initiatives. Assists the Vice President, Associate Vice President, and other senior leadership in identifying and implementing optimal organizational alignments, systems, processes, communication strategies and training initiatives necessary to support the Universitys new Student Information System. Assists and supports ENSA departments and senior leadership in developing and administering a SIS training program that includes on-line, written, and in-person training materials, tools, programs, and documentation. Advises and assists ENSA directors and departments in planning, communicating, coordinating and implementing an effective change management process in order to support the new SIS.
BA/BS required; MA/MS preferred, with a focus on Marketing, Communications, Change Management, Training, and/or Organizational Development. A minimum of 7-10 years of related experience, preferably within higher education. Familiarity with all current popular social media platforms, and demonstrated success in communicating effectvely with college age populations is required. Knowledge of various software applications and systems currently used within Enrollment & Student Adminsitration is preferred, including, but not limited to On-Base, WorkDay, Student Advice, VMock, Trello, and Ocelot.
