About the Role
The Director of Partner Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align to our client Partner goals and Pearson's overall strategic direction.
This role can be a remote US position (based in EST time zone) or Hybrid in our Hoboken, NJ offices. As an organization with a global customer and employee footprint, some domestic and international travel will be required.
The role of Director of Partner Marketing focuses on the following:
Develop Partner Demand Generation Strategies:
Collaborate directly with Partners to co-create and implement comprehensive marketing plans, managing the necessary budget and resources.
Align plans with Partner and Pearson business objectives to drive measurable pipeline growth, customer acquisition, and revenue impact.
Execute Marketing Initiatives:
Design and launch demand generation campaigns with Partners that deliver qualified leads and predictable pipeline growth.
Ensure timely execution of initiatives, adapting to Partner needs and market dynamics.
Lead Pipeline Success:
Act as a key driver of pipeline performance by managing Partner engagement and marketing efforts.
Utilize data and insights to ensure joint success with Partners, optimizing campaigns and initiatives for improved outcomes.
Partner Engagement & Relationship Building:
Foster strong, collaborative relationships with Partners to enhance their engagement and commitment.
Develop lifecycle marketing strategies that support ongoing partner success.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Strategic and Growth Marketing teams, Partner Sales, and Partner Enablement teams to align strategies and ensure seamless execution.
Serve as a liaison between internal Marketing & Communications teams and partners, ensuring mutual goals are achieved.
Monitor and Optimize Campaign Performance:
Analyze campaign data and key performance metrics (e.g., partner-sourced pipeline, conversion rates, MDF utilization) to continuously improve marketing outcomes.
Provide actionable insights to partners and internal stakeholders for ongoing optimization.
About You
Key Experiences & skills:
Marketing Leadership Experience : 15+ years of experience across various marketing disciplines, including demand generations, analytics, operations, brand, and communications. Experience in partnership/ ecosystem/ co-marketing is a plus
B2B/D2C Marketing Expertise: Extensive experience in B2B and enterprise marketing (strong preference within SaaS); a foundational understanding in D2C best practiced is desirable
International Experience : Demonstrated experience within a global organization, with an understanding of cultural nuances.
Commercial Acumen : Strong ability to deliver seamless end-to-end buyer journeys and drive significant commercial returns. Skilled in developing and reporting on metrics and KPIs.
Innovative and Analytical : A strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset, capable of translating trends and commercial insights into effective positioning and external messaging; Comfortable balancing strategic planning with direct execution of campaigns and initiatives
Change Leadership : Effective communicator who can advocate for and lead through large-scale organizational changes and growth.
Stakeholder Management : Strong ability to build trust and foster relationships with Partners, driving engagement and success.
What to expect from Pearson
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York State, New York City, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $170,000 - $180,000
