Colleges of the Fenway Director of Pre-College Programs and Strategic Enrollment Outreach - Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts

Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment, the Director of Pre-College Programs and Strategic Enrollment Outreach is responsible for the development, coordination and assessment of pre-college programs. The Director provides leadership and vision for pre-college outreach to students of all backgrounds, especially those historically underrepresented within the STEM and Design disciplines. Working in close collaboration with faculty, staff, and students, the Director oversees all aspects of the pre-college student experience, from curricular design and program promotion to post-program assessment. The Director, together with the Enrollment Management leadership team, supports the university?s strategic plan, leveraging pre-college programs as a way to achieve institutional enrollment goals with special emphasis on inclusive excellence. In addition, the Director of Pre-College Programs and Strategic Enrollment Outreach works with the Director of Undergraduate Admissions and the Director of Graduate Admissions to design targeted recruitment activities in support of the university?s diversity, equity and inclusion goals. Likewise, the Director will work with colleagues in the Center for Community Learning Partnerships, expanding upon and complementing existing CLP programs. The Enrollment Management leadership team includes the Vice President of Enrollment, the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Director of Graduate Admissions and the Director of Enrollment Operations. The Director collaborates with internal and external partners in developing and implementing strategies in support of the university?s recruitment and retention efforts. Internal partners include the Center for Community Learning Partnerships, Academic Affairs, Institutional Advancement, Marketing, Finance, Institutional Effectiveness, Finance and Facilities. External partners include national and regional professional associations such as the Association of Pre-College Program Directors and the North American Association of Summer Sessions as well as organizations such as Girls who Code, Black Girls Code, the Society of Women Engineers, and the Engineering Ambassadors Network. The Director of Pre-College Programs provides leadership within the division and across campus on strategy related to diversity, equity and inclusion issues as it relates to student enrollment. Required Qualifications: * Master's Degree * Leadership experience in higher education. * Extensive experience developing and delivering residential outreach programs to youth including knowledge of risk management of minors, curriculum/program development and residential staff supervision * Strong knowledge of the current pre-college landscape in higher education to inform strategic planning and marketing efforts. * Familiar with the best practices for recruiting students from underserved populations into STEM fields. * Record of success in meeting enrollment, revenue, and geographical diversity goals. * Excellent written and oral communication, outreach, public speaking/presentation and networking skills, including the ability to professionally interact and communicate with internal and external constituents. * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with leadership, faculty and staff. * Demonstrated commitment to the creation and success of a highly diverse student population. * Stellar managerial and leadership skills. * Strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills. * Ability to multitask; attention to detail; and ability to meet aggressive deadlines. * Excellent project and time management skills.
