Role Overview:
As a Distinguished Engineer (DE), you will work with engineering teams and architects to design and implement high-quality technology solutions with a focus on Salesforce security and implementation. You will have the autonomy to lead design and development initiatives to address some of the most complex challenges in the banking industry. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring a secure, scalable, and resilient Salesforce platform while safeguarding critical customer data.
Your leadership will be crucial in establishing security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2), and embedding security into Salesforce integration and deployment. You will work closely with product development teams to fortify cloud security architectures, vulnerability management strategies, and regulatory compliance measures. Ultimately, you will differentiate our Salesforce implementation as a leader in security, driving business growth while maintaining trust and protecting sensitive data.
Key Responsibilities:
Salesforce Security Leadership – Lead efforts to secure the Salesforce platform, ensuring it is resilient, compliant, and well-documented.
Cloud Security Expertise – Design and implement advanced security protocols, encryption strategies, and access control measures to protect customer data and prevent emerging cyber threats.
Regulatory & Compliance Frameworks – Ensure alignment with industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC2, mitigating legal risks while fostering customer trust.
Secure Software Development – Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed security best practices into Salesforce design, development, and deployment.
Enterprise Architecture & Scalability – Develop modern, scalable, and maintainable Salesforce architectures that support mission-driven business goals.
Agile Development & Collaboration – Actively participate in Agile development processes, mentoring engineers and ensuring best practices are followed.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement – Evaluate emerging Salesforce security technologies, providing recommendations to enhance platform resilience and compliance.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of hands-on software development experience, with expertise in developing and securing Salesforce solutions.
Deep knowledge of cloud security architectures, including encryption, identity & access management, and data protection strategies.
Experience in regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2) and vulnerability management within cloud/SaaS environments.
Strong background in modern programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, Golang, C++, etc.).
Expertise in DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
Proficiency in AWS and cloud-based infrastructure.
Experience with Service Now and Microsoft 365 a plus.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring teams.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in consumer banking, portfolio management, trading, or compliance.
Deep understanding of Salesforce security frameworks and best practices.
Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Salesforce Security Architect.
Education & Certifications:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.

Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $250,000 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
