Reporting to the AVP, Employee Relations North America, the Employee Relations Consultant provides investigative and consultative services on job-related issues to facilitate resolution internally, thereby minimizing company liability and third-party complaints. JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Type : Individual Contributor
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and manage investigations, including harassment, discrimination, EthicsPoint, conflict of interest complaints/issues, and any other matters of a highly sensitive nature.
Provide consultative support to HR Partners and people leaders regarding work-related challenges such as performance management, disability management, HR policies and practices, legislative requirements, and restructuring activity.
Ensure involuntary employee terminations comply with legal requirements, partnering with the legal team as necessary.
Offer expert advice on employee relations and policies/practices/procedures interpretation to HR Business Partners and leaders.
Support strategic initiatives in collaboration with business stakeholders to drive organizational goals.
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience with HR policy-related investigations.
Demonstrated knowledge of dispute resolution methodologies, procedures, and techniques (e.g., mediation).
Proven Employee Relations experience, ideally with broader HR generalist or business leader exposure.
Experience and demonstrated proficiency in dealing with people leaders at all levels in the organization, including senior leadership.
Strong ability to influence and maintain objectivity in sensitive situations. Excellent conflict management skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in report writing.
In-depth understanding of employee relations principles and employment law in relevant geographies.

Salary range is expected to be between
$76,950.00 CAD - $138,510.00 CAD
