Job Description

Jointly reporting to the Assistant VP for Research Initiatives and the Director of the Professional Development and Postdoc Affairs Office, and working directly with the Vice President and Associate Provost for Research in support of the Universitys research enterprise (faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars and graduate students, Research Administration and Research Support offices), the Events Manager will develop, manage and execute approximately 50 research events of strategic importance with the primary goals of facilitating interdisciplinary faculty research collaborations; supporting faculty in identifying significant, priority funding opportunities through interactions with sponsors; supporting, training, and mentoring junior faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students; and fostering community across the research administration and support areas of the University. This individual will regularly interact with University leadership, research administration and research support offices, (Provost, President, Federal Relations, Foundation Relations, OSP, PAFO) and Faculty, as well as other staff in the Office of Research and PDPA offices, in the conception, planning, and promotion of events.

Required Skills

Bachelors Degree and 3-5 years of experience.
