Responsibilities: The Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene invites applications for faculty to engage in teaching, scholarship, and service activities. Coordinate teaching in didactic, preclinical and clinical instruction at the undergraduate and graduate level. Incorporate new developments in field into teaching. Develop new learning assessment techniques, courses, programs, and teaching materials. Serve as an ambassador for the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene through participation in service activities. Serve on university-wide, School of Health Sciences, and School-specific faculty committees. Maintain a program of scholarly productivity appropriate to academic rank. Participate in professional development activities.

Rank is commensurate with education and experience.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications: Required: A master?s degree in Dental Hygiene, Public Health or related field Current MA dental hygiene licensure or eligibility for MA licensure Hold a permit or licensure to administer local anesthesia or be eligible for a local anesthesia permit in MA A minimum of three years clinical practice experience including non-surgical periodontal therapy A minimum of two years of didactic and clinical teaching experience A background in student-centered educational methodology Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Desired: A doctoral degree Experience developing and teaching traditional undergraduate and online graduate level curricula Experience mentoring graduate students in thesis research
