Faculty of Pharmacy Practice engage in teaching, service and scholarship activities on behalf of the University and serve in a clinical pharmacist role/faculty member in an ambulatory care setting.
Develop and maintain pharmacy practice services at a practice site with the primary purpose of providing high-quality experiential education to PharmD students Provide didactic instruction in the PharmD program in areas of interest and expertise, according to department need Contribute to periodic review and revision of departmental course offerings Conduct research and related forms of scholarship in areas of expertise Publish study results, reports and reviews in peer reviewed journals and presents results Serve as a member of university, school, and department committees Attend and participate in department meetings, faculty meetings, university ceremonies, and other major events Collaborate with pharmacy administration and staff on patient care initiatives at the practice site Maintain advanced knowledge in discipline and areas of expertise Participate in university continuing education programs
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.
Rank is commensurate with education and experience.
Required: A Doctor of Pharmacy degree Residency and/or fellowship or equivalent experience Eligibility to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Excellent communication skills
Desired: Teaching experience Extensive clinical and research experience
